Annette has been practising mindfulness since 1988. More recently, she trained with Exeter University’s Clinical Education Development and Research department in teaching Mindfulness-Based Approaches.

She has a diploma in integrative counselling and many years’ experience working with groups and individual clients. She currently divides her time between personal client work, group-work, tutoring and supervising counselling students and leading mindfulness courses.

For the past seven years she has focussed on helping clients who have experienced trauma and loss, whether due to health, bereavement or personal concerns. As a trained facilitator she is experienced in establishing groups that enable people to experience the very real benefit of meeting others working with similar issues.

Before coming to her present roles, Annette spent many years as a Buddhist pastoral counsellor. Her work is now entirely secular, but the Buddhist values of kindness, acceptance and mindful awareness inform everything she does.
